HLTA North would like to recognise the amazing contribution all support staff have made to ensure the safe running of schools and the well being of children and young people during the Covid 19 pandemic. We hear stories every day of what you have achieved during these difficult and strange times and would like to add our thanks for the valuable work you have done as front line workers to keep children and young people safe and for making sure their learning continues.
During this difficult time, HLTA preparers across the region have tried to ensure candidates currently going through preparation routes have been given opportunities to complete their courses and assessors have carried out assessments using the online technologies available. Applications are already being taken by PoPs for September and many are now looking to offer various options for those wishing to complete a HLTA course. The work of everyone involved is much appreciated.
We are delighted we have been able to continue to award HLTA status every month to candidates completing the process successfully and look forward to continuing this work throughout the next academic year, using the challenges presented by the pandemic as a way to move forward.
