The ethos which I apply to my everyday work is to nurture, inspire, motivate and positively encourage both the children and colleagues with whom I interact at Barwic Parade Community Primary School.
I have worked as a full time HLTA at Barwick Parade Community Primary for 2 years, working within Key Stage 2 where I both take and provide support in several different classes. In addition, I currently lead on modern foreign languages, attending regional cluster groups on behalf of the school. Using this skill, I have introduced and continue to develop innovative and dynamic new ways to make foreign languages exciting for the children.
I am a driven professional individual, and working as a HLTA gives me the opportunity to directly impact in a positive way the development of the children with whom I come into contact. It also gives me an opportunity to inspire through personal example the colleagues with whom I work.
Having been lucky enough to have been taught to play an instrument as a child, I am passionate about giving every child I work with at the school the opportunity to access music, either via the school choir, or school band, both of which I have set up and currently run.
Going forward, I have enrolled onto the Level 5 Leadership and Management course to further enhance my professional and leadership skills. For the benefit of the children and school, I am currently planning a high profile exciting summer fundraising concert in which the budding musicians of both the choir and the band will be able to participate.
